Persatuan Bola Basket Seluruh Indonesia (Perbasi) adalah satu-satunya badan/wadah kegiatan olahraga bola basket nasional yang memiliki wewenang dalam mengkoordinasikan dan membina segala kegiatan olahraga bola basket di seluruh wilayah hukum Republik Indonesia. Perbasi merupakan mitra pemerintah dalam pembinaan dan pengembangan kegiatan olahraga bola basket. Perbasi dibentuk di tahun 1951, bergabung dengan FIBA di tahun 1953 dan mengirimkan timnas pertamanya di Asian Games II di Manila, Filipina, pada tahun 1954.
The Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) is the only governing body for the sport of basketball in Indonesia. It has the sole authority to coordinate and manage all activities related to the sport of basketball in all territories under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Indonesia. Perbasi is the Indonesian government partner in managing and developing the sport of basketball. Perbasi was established in 1951, joined FIBA in 1953 and sent the first Indonesian basketball national team to the 2nd Asian Games in Manila, Philippines, in 1954.
Danny Kosasih, President
Danny Kosasih (Kho Poo Thai) is the 10th and current President of Perbasi. He was first elected in 2015 and was reelected for the second term in 2019. His involvement in the sport of basketball spans over 50 years as player, coach, team manager, educator and executive.
Before holding the Perbasi’s top management position, Danny was Perbasi’s chairperson of basketball coaching development (1998-2002), appointed as the Indonesian Men’s Basketball National Team manager in 1999, and assistant manager in 2001. From 2002 until he was elected as the President of Perbasi in 2015, Danny was mostly involved in Indonesian junior basketball teams that competed in national, regional and international level.
